In this hands-on session we will work with needle and thread on photographic prints. Embroidery appears as a form of intervention that adds texture, color, and relief, and opens the image to a tactile reading. We will go through basic stitches, ways of preparing the paper so it withstands perforation, and criteria for composing at the crossroads between the photographic and the textile.
What you will learn
- Preparing the support: choosing the paper, marking, and piercing.
- Basic stitches and their expressive possibilities on the image.
- Composition: when the thread accompanies the photograph and when it transforms it.
- Care, mounting, and preservation of the embroidered pieces.
What's included
- All the necessary materials (prints, thread, needles, etc.).
- Technical and creative guidance throughout the workshop.
- An intimate, collaborative atmosphere in a unique creative space.
